Walk With Us

  • 12601 Alcosta Boulevard San Ramon, CA, 94583 United States (map)

WATER IS MORE THAN A RESOURCE; WATER IS LIFE.

However, millions of people worldwide still lack access to clean water. At Eastown, we're committed to making an impact here locally and helping those hurting around the world, and that's why we proudly support the Hope Water Project with both people and financial resources. This organization has dedicated the last fourteen years to bringing hope through clean water, one well at a time. Their current project is to provide 1,000 new water wells for the Pokot tribe in northwestern Kenya.

Last year, a team from Eastown visited the country to lend hands and we are returning in June. As an Eastown community we want to fund one clean water well. The best part? Whether you are traveling with us to Kenya or not, you can be an integral part of making this possible.

The average person walks an hour each way to find water. When we arrive in Kenya, one of the many things we will do is to take the team on a "water walk" to experience what it's like to walk miles to get dirty water on a daily basis. Here is where you get to participate. We are asking you, your family, your friends to Walk With Us. We are inviting you to carry your own jug of water for 5 days as a reminder of what others experience around the world to access water. This will also give you a glimpse of millions go through each and every day and also an opportunity to share the mission of Hope Water. We hope your join us!

HERE’S THE PLAN:

May 19th - Pick up a jug at Eastown and carry it for 5 days.

  • Pick up a jug at Eastown, the Eastown Hub or grab your own 1 gallon water jub and carry it for 5 days. A minimum donation of $5 is requested for each jug. All proceeds will go directly to a well. Carry it for five days.

  • Drink only water from your jug and donate what you would typically spend on other beverages to the water crisis. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to dig a clean water well.

  • Pray for our team as they travel to Kenya and build relationship with our Pokot sisters and brothers.
