WILL YOU PRAY WITH US?

This week is a big week for our nation.

I have talked to many people that are worried, confused, and even angry. I want to take a moment and remind you that our hope is not in a donkey or an elephant. It is in the Lamb. In the book of John chapter 1 it says “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world’. This is who we put our faith and hope in. The one who has conquered death and is the only one who can bring the healing we long to see in our nation.

I also want to remind you that our faith is strengthened through the work of prayer. James, the brother of Jesus reminds us that “Faith without works is dead.”  As we seek to strengthen our faith as individuals and as the community of Eastown, I want to invite you to join Michaell and I in doing something new this week.  I want to invite you to pray for 7 days, starting today, at 7am or 7pm,  for 7 minutes.

Here is what I want us to join together in prayer over: 
⁃Pray for healing in our nation 
⁃Pray for grace if your candidate loses.. Pray for humility if your candidate wins
⁃Pray that our leaders would work together for the good of all people in this nation
⁃Pray for continued justice in our country
⁃Pray that your focus would rest on the eternal Kingdom
⁃Pray that we would see each other through the lens of Jesus

I believe the more we come to God in prayer, acknowledging that He is in control, the more we are able to see how He is at work in and through our lives. Please know we are praying for you this week, and praying that your faith and hope in Jesus would be strengthened no matter what happens in the circumstances around us. Psalm 34:17 says "Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you." Let's join together in prayer on behalf of our nation this week.
